Thirty years ago, Mr. Solomon Lee and his business partner, Ms. Joanne Loh, embarked on a journey that started as a small trademark registration firm nestled in the heart of George Town. From mere humble beginnings, Intellect has embarked on a remarkable journey of growth, expanding your IP services to encompass patents, copyrights, industrial designs, and more. These services cater not only to local corporations but also to international conglomerates seeking to expand their businesses in Malaysia.

Today, we are not just celebrating an anniversary; we are acknowledging a milestone that reflects the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial drive, that harmonizes seamlessly with the aspirations of the Penang2030 Vision. Intellect's presence has played an integral role in advancing Penang's digital landscape, a fundamental element of our Penang2030 initiative. This is because the digital economy thrives in internet use; therefore, most systems that allow the internet to function, such as software, designs, routers and networks, are elements of IP and can be capitalized through IP protection.
The Penang state government recognises the importance of the digital economy and its potential for our future growth that we have even included it in our State Budget and Manifesto. In order to spearhead the development of this digital entrepreneurship sector, the Penang state government has come up with several initiatives of which the Creative Digital District (CD2) features most prominently in Phase II of the Penang2030 Vision, which is Accelerating Penang2030.
Creative Digital District (CD2) @ Georgetown is located in the strategic heart of Penang and spans across 113 acres which functions as a digital financial and educational hub, surrounded by wholesome cuisines which Penang is famous for as well as exciting cultural sites. It serves as a focal point for modern technology and the creative arts and it has already attracted leading companies such as BlueSkies, Angkasa-X and SecurityMetrics to set up their offices there.
The rise of numerous SMEs and startups underscores the importance of IP services in securing their trademarks and enhancing brand credibility. Intellect has played a pivotal role in this transformation, aligning your services with our vision of a digitally progressive Penang.
