At The Offication of DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang

First and foremost, congratulations to Jamie Mead and his hardworking team at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang! 

This is truly an exciting day for Penang because DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang is Malaysia’s first DoubleTree Resort as well as being the 50th hotel to be open in Asia Pacific. Amazing news indeed! 

Of all the beautiful states in Malaysia, we are proud to be home to the brand’s first property. DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang is truly a new resort for you to experience the best in a state that provides the best in comfort and cultural diversity. 

Penang as a state, records one of the highest number of visitors, (and growing Year on Year), hence it is timely that this property will also be Penang’s first Hilton-branded property. My own question to Jamie Mead is – what made you wait so long? (*light hearted moment).

Visitors to the state come for many different reasons, or rather, they come to do many different things – from eating some of the best cuisines Malaysia has to offer, to enjoying the beautifully restored architecture of the buildings of Old Penang, to soaking in the Baba Nyonya culture. And now with DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang, there is even more reason to visit! Not forgetting TeddyVille Museum, Malaysia’s first teddy bear-themed museum, which is also set on this property!

Jamie shared that the property has a variety of guestrooms that meet the needs of every kind of traveler, from a solo businessperson to entire family groups is a family focused, full-service resort complete with a Kid’s Club – this is an all-encompassing resort retreat indeed!
