Ladies and gentlemen
First and foremost, I would like to congratulate Aspen Group on their first project – Tri Pinnacle’s completion, which is also the first notable private-initiated affordable housing project in Penang. This project will be a turning point for the affordable housing developments in the state as it will act as a catalyst to inspire other private developers to host similar affordable housing developments in Penang.

Penang has always been in the forefront in giving importance to affordable housing projects and Aspen Group shares the same vision as the State Government. We at the Penang State Government are always concerned about the welfare of our people in the state. With the rise of living costs in the recent years, we see the need to introduce plans that would help to ease their burden and ultimately to battle poverty in the state.

Hence, the introduction of this affordable housing scheme is aimed at addressing this major concern. We want to enable more locals, especially young families from mid to low-income groups, to own their first home without causing a financial toll on them. For example, those who have just started working or big families with multiple responsibilities may find it hard to make ends meet let alone set aside a huge down payment for a house in Penang sold at the current market rate.

Hailing the State Government’s call, Aspen Group came forward and played an exemplary role by not only providing an affordable housing project, but the Group also took extra initiatives to provide the best living environment for the residents by providing top-notch facilities, amenities and management in its development.

Tri Pinnacle is made up of three blocks consisting of a block of Low Medium Cost (LMC) with the selling price starting from RM72,500 and two blocks of affordable units with the selling price starting from RM348,000 onwards with 2 car parks. Block A has 458 units and Block B and C is made up of 859 units. This project has a total Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM520.9 million.

This project is also to be noted as it is the first affordable project in the state with impressive sky facilities, where we are all standing now, to celebrate the project’s success. There are excellent facilities such as sky gymnasium, sky lounge and infinity sky pool, just to name a few. These are the facilities that we usually find only at high-end condominiums, but Tri Pinnacle residents are very lucky as they can enjoy all these facilities here, at an affordable price, if compared with other high-end condominiums. Plus, the view from this level is simply breath-taking. In addition to that, there are also other recreational facilities on Level 13 and Level 7.

Not limited to these facilities, the residents here will also get to enjoy high-technology facilities as I was briefed that the units will have the Smart Home integration and automation, where they will have door and motion sensors and even voice command to control Google and mini speaker in the living room. Aspen has also developed a Smart Community App for its residents, where the safety and security of their home will all be on their fingertips. Such impressive smart facilities in affordable development are something commendable and extraordinary.

Tri Pinnacle is also strategically located in a quiet enclave of Tanjung Tokong where the high-rise is surrounded with various amenities and convenience.

I would say Aspen Group had developed this project with today’s modern families’ needs in mind with ideal balance between space, lifestyle and convenience. The Group has planned everything in detail to provide the best comfort to its residents.

Tri Pinnacle has successfully set a new benchmark for affordable housing projects in the state. Being said so, I hope more private developers will come forward and take the State Government’s call to initiate this kind of affordable housing projects. With this, we can offer a better and quality living standard to Penangites.
