I would like to thank everyone here, especially the members of the media, for taking time out on a Sunday to mark and celebrate this very inspiring event which has once again put Penang in the limelight - something of which all Penangites can truly be proud.

I am honoured to be here, to bear witness to what will be considered the ‘Longest Coffee Painting’ in Malaysia. For this, I would like to congratulate our celebrated artist, Mohd. Azmi for making this happen!

This artwork truly showcases Penangites as a collective, with strong creative distinctions that I hope will inspire more of our local talents for generations to come. We are also happy to see Starbucks support to uplift talents not just nationwide, but locally as well. Their partnership here is a testament to corporations making a positive impact in the communities where their stores operate, and also empowering individuals to express themselves.

This is certainly evident in their partnership with Mohd. Azmi, which serves as a testament to the rich pool of talents that we have here in Penang, and the many opportunities that we can help elevate our great state.

I would like to also thank the Malaysia Book of Records for being here to officially induct this awesome feat into the Record books, placing Penang at the forefront of a Malaysian record! I am sure that Mohd Azmi’s piece will resonate deeply, inspiring young artists and the community to celebrate Penang’s rich diversity and identity.
