各位来宾、亲爱的朋友们，大家晚上好。

首先，我代表槟州政府祝福所有的槟城人，以及各位远道而来的朋友们，新年快乐，龙年吉祥！

今天，槟城庙会迎来了25周年，得益于槟州各界人士的共同努力。庙会选在槟城乔治市古迹区举行，串连着约20家上百年的宗祠家庙和会馆，目的是要鼓励年轻人了解和珍惜前人留下来的文化遗产和精神价值。

Today, we are very honoured to be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Miaohui.  It is with the joint efforts of the people from all walks of life in Penang that we can successfully organise Miaohui in the heritage area of ​​George Town. It also reflects the strong bond and connection among the 20 ancestral temples and guild halls that have been around for hundreds of years. And we have achieved our aim of encouraging young people to understand and cherish the cultural heritage and spiritual values ​​left by our predecessors.

槟城庙会一直努力传承和弘扬多元化的文化。近年来，我们有幸获得了友族文化单位的参与，使得庙会的内容更加丰富多彩。

I am happy to note that Miaohui has always strived to promote our diverse culture and traditions. In recent years, we are fortunate to have the participation of different cultural groups thus making the content of our Miaohui more varied and inclusive.

各位，随着社交媒体的发展，民间的才华和创意越来越能被世界看见。

如果大家有留意到，近年来，马来西亚出现了许多民间创作的新年歌曲，数量和质量都在不断提升。庙会也有了自己的新年歌曲，成为了文化传承的一部分。

If you have noticed, in recent years, many folk-created New Year songs have appeared in Malaysia, and the quantity and quality are always improving. Even our very own Miaohui has its own New Year songs, which have become part of our cultural heritage.

各位，每年的庙会都充满了惊喜，今年的惊喜之一就是我们获得了槟州元首亲临现场，与大家一起同欢共庆，共同见证槟城庙会25周年的历史性时刻。

Our Miaohui is full of surprises every year. And this year, we are most honoured to have the presence of Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang and Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Dato' Seri Utama Khadijah binti Mohd Nor to be with us to celebrate as well as to witness the historic moment of the 25th anniversary of Miaohui.

庙会一年比一年好，就表示主办方所面对的挑战一年比一年更难。但我相信，凭借着槟城人“爱拼才会赢”的精神，庙会一定能克服这些挑战。

让我们一起期待明年的庙会还能给我们什么惊喜！

最后，希望今晚的庙会能让大家感受到槟城文化的魅力，让我们共同努力，传承和发扬这份宝贵的文化遗产。
