A very good evening to everyone. On behalf of the state of Penang, I welcome you all to this prestigious gala dinner this evening.
Today is a special day as we celebrate the 24th Anniversary of the Penang Goldsmiths and Jewellers Association (PGJA）in conjunction with the Penang Signature Gold and Jewellery Fair 2022 (PSG), as well as a welcome reception to host all major stakeholders and industry players from outstation and overseas.

The 3-day Penang Signature Gold and Jewellery Fair 2022 (PSG) is a strategic gold trading platform that gathers the Top Malaysia Gold Manufacturers and wholesalers to showcase your spectacular gold jewellery collections and Malaysia’s excellent gold craftsmanship.
In this manner, PSG is playing a very significant role in bringing interstate traders together through a common and prestigious platform to recover and to boost our domestic economy. Its spiraling effect will also greatly benefit the local tourism industry, which is one of the two-core engines of Penang’s growth besides Manufacturing.

Through the Penang Signature Gold Fair, I am pleased to note that Penang doesn’t limit her uniqueness and attractiveness as a mere tourist spot but also as a choice location for international business events and in our setting today, as a vital international gold and jewellery trading hub in Malaysia. I have every reason to believe that this collaboration between Elite Expo and the Penang Goldsmiths and Jewellers Association (PGJA）will result in a new chapter of prosperity for the gold industry in Penang and Malaysia.
What we have Penang, is a place for leisure, business events and a well-positioned trading hub in terms of geographic location and existing ecosystem; a land that is full of opportunity and potential to be a distinguished international city.
