A very good morning to all of you.
I am truly honoured to be here today as we inaugurate 7th edition of the Penang Signature Gold, Gems & Jewellery Fair (PSG) 2023. This remarkable event is a convergence of artistry, heritage and commerce, and I am most delighted to address you all on this occasion.
With the collaborative efforts of Elite Expo and the Penang Goldsmith and Jewellers Association (PGJA), this fair exceeds geographical boundaries to assume a position of significance not only within our state or nation but across the Southeast Asian region.
Penang has long been a melting pot of cultures, a place where diversity combines with heritage, and creativity flourishes alongside tradition. The PSG 2023, far more than just a trade exhibition, serves as a proof of our rich history of jewelry-making and goldsmithing, which is now a legacy of our identity. Passed down through generations, this legacy has taken root within our local communities, sustained by the dedication, artistry and mastery that are hallmarks of our heritage.

For this year’s Penang Signature Gold, Gems & Jewellery Fair, we are privileged to witness the extravagant display of Malaysia’s gold craftmanship. The gathering of Malaysia’s finest gold manufacturers and wholesalers here underscores the global recognition we gained for our ability to create jewelry that go beyond mere adornment and exquisite artistry.
